E-COMMERCE M-COMMERCE GROWING IN INDIA AS THE EXPONENTIAL RISE OF MORE THAN 500 MILLION INTERNET USERS WITH POWERFUL TOOLS AND PORTALS
by Admin User - Tuesday, 16 January 2018, 01:03 PM

By : M.S.Yatnatti Editor and Video Journalist Bengaluru : According to reports information technology and internet have been into existence for more than two decades in the India and developed countries and in countries like ours, it has been burgeoning since last decade. Unlimited goods and services are offered by companies which have tried to setup an online storefront, from books to electronics, from medicines to garment and from car rentals to hotels bookings everything is available online. Most of them have a robust mechanism, dynamic offerings, and lucrative deals and hurried delivery system, but due to various reasons, some of them failed and others have succeeded are a part of the Indian Start-up Ecosystem . In the current fiscal year, we shall be seeing top line of about 25 Billion USD for Indian E-commerce Industry which is poised to double up in next four Years. With 500 million Users on the Internet in 2017, India is one of the largest internets using population in the world. Telecom Revolution and high availability of the affordable internet, along with the policies of government to boost start-ups, and huge investments from international players have made India as one of the best destination which create opportunities. The exponential rise of Indian users and buyers in the world is directly related to the availability of goods to purchase. The Growing economies are largely getting dependent on the Internet and Internet-related tools. The Implementation of IT Infrastructure and to promote the online presences attracts costs which may not be affordable for the upcoming and preexisting small and medium scale enterprises. At this precise point, the most powerful tool of the Internet comes to the rescue and this is called as the E-commerce which is now converged and used interchangeably with M-Commerce. According to press reports demand for freelancers has been on the rise, and the severe shortage of new-age skills has been encouraging many full-time employees to become independent workers offering their expertise to multiple companies and earning much more than in their erstwhile positions.A survey conducted among Indian freelancers has found that web and mobile development, web designing, internet research and data entry are their key focus areas, and 23% of those surveyed said they earn between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh a year. Another 23% earn between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, while 55 respondents earn below Rs 2.5 lakh, showing that all freelancing jobs do not promise big bucks, and the right set of skills and their application are important. The mean income, according to the survey by digitalpayments company PayPal, was Rs 19 lakh. Freelancer.com, reportedly one of the largest global online platforms where freelancers can offer their services, the number of registered people from India is the highest, at more than 20% of the total. The portal has 5.3 million people from India, and 3.3 million from the US. The startup boom and the changing ethos with respect to job safety and security are also encouraging employees to take up more independent projects.According to start up mentors , there are three primary motivations: One, you see yourself as very good at something and want to do more of it. Two: You see a problem, and you believe you can solve it ingeniously. Three: You see an opportunity to make money. Answer the critical financial question: Who will buy what you intend to sell? Why, and what determines their ability to pay? Do not assume that the market is visible and available. Be prepared to work hard, work long, and work with focus when things go wrong. A successful business can look back and identify the steps it took to get where it stands today. That is the benefit of hindsight. A business must find a way to persist, persevere and plod on. That needs a tremendous amount of positive energy, willingness to learn new things, heightened awareness about the micro and macro view of what is going on and persistent ability to rework. Work from home is most challenging and comes with own set of distractions as you will be living with parents spouse or children’s and you need to set boundaries and you need to have ground rules established and you could consider converting your living room or bed room converting it as your work station or you could go for a nearby co working spaces or local coffee shop or community working spaces . Your portfolio is your asset advertise oneself and additionally continuously enhance your skillets by online learning by investing on self learning and armed with this and other primary requirements you can start making money from home but be careful about pitfalls of freelancing. Upgrading your skills ,knowledge and expertise is the only way to grow .

RERA VIOLATED BY BDA KEMPEGOWDA LAYOUT MUST PROVIDE 75 METERS BUFFER ZONE AROUND ALL LAKES/KERE/TANKS AS PER REVENUE MAPS
by Admin User - Friday, 12 January 2018, 11:22 PM

By: M.S.Yatnatti: Editor and Video Journalist Bengaluru: The recent BDA notification inviting applications for allotment of 5,000 sites in the second phase in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, West Bengaluru, is a violation of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Act, 2016.“It’s a violation on the part of the BDA to have called for applications without getting the layout project registered under the RERA. The buffer zone law is also applicable to BDA Layouts also as it is rejecting to give NOC for buffer zone “no construction area” .I have asked Public Information Officer and Deputy Director TPM Bangalore Development Authority to provide me certified copy of all approved Layout Plans of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout Plans showing all lakes/kere/Tanks as per revenue Maps and showing 75 meters Buffer Zone around all lakes/kere/Tanks and 50 meters for Rajakaluve coming in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout Plans as per NGT Orders .Also I have asked him to provide me whether any sites made and were allotted in buffer Zones in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout Plans. The BDA is THE PUBLIC AUTHORITY under obligation to provide information “PUBLICLY” under section 4(I) (a) (b) (c) (d) RTI Act.Reportedly BDA finalized the plot prices and is making allotment finalized. The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) appears to have flouted its rules and regulations for allotment of sites in the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.Constituted to provide housing for people who do not have a own roof over their head, BDA, in its paper notification for Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda layout, omitted the clause of people owning private sites or apartments being ineligible for allotment of BDA sites.Section 10 (3) of the BDA (site allotment) rules of 1984 says: “No person who or any dependent member of whose family , owns a site or a house, or has been allotted a site or a house by the BDA, or a co-operative society registered under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 or any other such Authority within the Bangalore Metropolitan Area, or has been allotted a site or a house in any other part in the state by any other Urban Development Authority or the Karnataka Housing Board or such agency of the government, shall be eligible to apply for allotment of a site.“However, the paper notifi cation calling for Kempegowda Layout allotment omits the “who or any dependent member of whose family , owns a site or a house...“ from the 10 (3) clause and says: “Any person either in hisher name or hisher spouse or any dependent member of hisher family has been already allotted a sitehouseflat or any other form of shelter by the erstwhile CITB BDA KHB House Building Co-operative Socities or any such other government authority within the Bangalore Metropolitan Area or has been allotted a site or house in any part in the state by any other urban develop ment authority or KHB or such other agency of the government are not eligible to apply for allotment of site as per rule 10 (3) of the BDA (site allotment) rules of 1984.“.You need to Digest this: A 30 X 40 site will cost Rs 24 lakh plus registration; a 2,400 sq ft (60 X 40 feet) is Rs 54 lakh; and (hold on!) the 50 X 80 site will come for Rs one crore. Gone are the days when BDA sold sites for Rs 195 and Rs 225 per sq ft and when no Tom, Dick or Harry gave a second thought to apply for one. This is evident from what is happening at the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout which is being developed between Mysore and Magadi roads in the NICE road circuit. Now time has come that BDA should truly function as Planning authority and do only infrastructure projects instead of layout making and layout making and grup housing should to left to private sectors .If at all government want to do the projects it should give free sites and free houses to poor. Instead of making layout it can make money in approving layout and private builders are capable of selling the sites less than the BDA and market rates.

AI AND DATA TECH AND COMPUTERS BECOME MORE AND MORE POWERFUL THEY WON’T BE “SUBSTITUTES” FOR HUMANS THEY’LL BE “COMPLEMENTS”
by Admin User - Tuesday, 9 January 2018, 11:13 AM

By : M.S.Yatnatti: Editor and Video Journalist Bengaluru : Any amount of e-commerce does not substitute physical hand shake and any amount of e-learning does not replace teacher and CAPTCHA is to defeat the bot as user of computer and recently election commission of India has brought VVPAT (voter-verifiable paper audit trail) or paper trail machines will be used at polling stations in all future elections where polls are held using EVMs to detect computer frauds . A CAPTCHA is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to determine whether or not the user is human. The term was coined in 2003 by Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum, Nicholas J. Hopper, and John Langford. The most common type of CAPTCHA was first invented in 1997 by two groups working in parallel.Create a company that will build new things (innovation) and help humans solve more complex problems. As computers become more and more powerful, they won’t be substitutes for humans: they’ll be complements. The debate of the century...In the future we foresee Artificial Intelligence replacing Humans and their jobs. Will the future tech actually displace humans and their jobs?.It’s easy to say and conclude that Artificial Intelligence could somehow replace us humans in the near future. Due to conventional wisdom. But If you think it that way then you don’t understand enough how computers actually work. If you’re pessimist about the future taking over us I think you watch too much Hollywood Sci-fi movies.Don’t be delusional, don’t try to escape the reality we’re in. Because the reality we’re in is way far different than the one you see in the movies, maybe. The future we’ll see tomorrow is in our hands and it entirely depends on us.UNIVERSITIES the world over are struggling with the digital disruption. universities have a choice. They can remain content merchants, and die or they can transform in knowledge brokers and thrive. The IT Enabled classrooms of the today will not be propelled by school and college administrators but by the young learners. Today's learners require new dynamics and new direction which facilitate active learning and new teaching strategies. Conventional classrooms have to modify and co create existing spaces to provide adaptable, multi-use configurations and new pedagogies. According to experts , the 10 signs are technology, integration, collaborative environment , opportunities to create an expression, inquiry based approach, justification for answers, writing for reflection, use of problem solving methodology, hands-on-learning, teacher as facilitator, transparent assessment. universities were never in the content business but in the knowledge business. Without the platform of content, bringing students to the desirable levels of understanding was impossible, degrees to provide first content and then, for those who pursued higher degrees, greater insights and understanding of the discipline. That content is now so readily available is, in experts opinion, a blessing; universities can now concentrate on the business of creating and inducing meaning.

WEARING “HALF-HELMET OR HEADGEAR” WITHOUT ISI MARK? TWO-WHEELER RIDERS POLICE OR CITIZENS BOTH WILL BE PENALIZED FROM “FEBRUARY FIRST 2018”
by Admin User - Monday, 8 January 2018, 10:53 PM

By: M.S.Yatnatti editor and Video Journalist Bengaluru : Home minister R Ramalinga Reddy has said that even police will be penalized if they do not wear headgears with ISI mark and nobody will be spared including police this he said in a what’s up message to me .The city traffic police has decided to look within as they gear up to crack down on non-certified helmets as well as helmetless driving. Come February, teams of traffic cops will conduct surprise checks at police stations and other places where policemen are employed to ensure that their colleagues use helmets that bear the mandatory ISI mark.Additional commissioner of police (traffic) R Hitendra has reportedly said that he will begin the safety drive by checking police officers. “On the morning of February 1, traffic police will start checking police officers across the city. Apart from stopping policemen on two-wheelers, our personnel will visit police stations and other workplaces to ensure that our colleagues have helmets certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Policemen will have to pay a fine if they are found using helmets without ISI mark,” he said.

The prescribed fine for 'helmetless' riders is Rs 100.Headgears that cover the whole face come with ISI mark. All police men are using half helmet without ISI mark. The rule applicable to them too, and it is not way of sucking money from general public.Reportedly Two-wheeler riders will have to take a close look at the type of helmet they are using. Bengaluru city police recently asked two-wheeler riders, including those on pillion, to wear only helmets with ISI mark. They will begin an enforcement drive against violators from February 1.The drive is part of a state-wide endeavour to deter riders from using half-helmets and, instead, go for safer headgear of assured quality. The move comes in the wake of a home department directive to police asking them to ensure only helmets with ISI mark are used. Police commissioner T Suneel Kumar said two-wheeler users have time till January 31 to buy headgears with ISI mark. "From February 1, those wearing helmets without ISI mark will be penalized. They'd be treated as riding helmetless," he said. The prescribed fine for 'helmetless' riders is Rs 100.Headgears that cover the whole face come with ISI mark. Police consider other helmets as 'half-helmets' or those not conforming to BIS. Karnataka police chief Neelamani N Raju has directed the state police to ban half-helmets and low-quality ones that come without ISI mark from February 1. This follows a directive from home minister R Ramalinga Reddy on Wednesday, which came while he was praising Mysuru city police's initiative to book riders using unsafe helmets. The directive was issued to all five police commissioners —Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharawad and Belagavi — and also all range inspector general of police (IGPs) across the state.

As topics like sexual harassment dominate the national conversation and chief executives weigh in on the ethical and social issues of the day, business schools around the country are hastily reshaping their curriculums with case studies ripped straight from the headlines.Writing on social media or what’s up group or Telegram Groups is public document .Write responsibly writing in #Metoo is self defamation and to #Nameandshame is defamation if it is not pursued with a case to a court of law . Let us learn to respect woman’s .The social media campaign #Metoo moves on to #Nameandshame but it should not stop at this but the victims of sexual assault should move to court of law. If you really want to fight for justice, take your case to a court of law. . #Metoo moves on to #Nameandshame social media campaign is being debated as whether it the right way to go about dealing with rampant sexual abuse? .Reportedly It only takes a fistful of snow to snowball into something big controversy , destructive and, in some cases, absolutely necessary as this month, when news broke out about Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein's alleged and prolonged sexual harassment, assault and rape of over dozen women, it sent shockwaves across the USA. But not many anticipated the consequences it would have across the globe. To start with, American actress Alyssa Milano posted a #MeToo tweet, a campaign originally started by Tarana Burke, to gauge the widespread problem of sexual misconduct, and gauge it did -millions of women, and men too, around the globe who have been subjected to sexual abuse spoke out.Reportedly now, a few in India have gone one step further -not only have they come out with stories of sexual abuse faced by them, they have named professors who allegedly sexually harassed or assaulted them. With the campaign's focus now having evolved from #MeToo to #NameAndShame, the list, originally compiled by Raya Sarkar, a law student from University of California at Davis, is a cumulative one, updated as and when victims come out with confessions.Allegdly Professors from some of India's premier institutes in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta and many other cities, including Bengaluru, have been named. While the list is not a legal document, and one used to combat, in the words of Facebook user Inji Pennu, `the archaic legal system that has no clue about sexual aggression', it raises concerns about the legitimacy of the claims. Kannada actress Neethu, who was among the first from the industry to join #MeToo, reportedly she isn't in favour of the direction the campaign has taken, which has now moved to naming and shaming perpetrators. “People have been questioning the #MeToo campaign and if there was any point to it at all, which I think is insensitive .It was only a window to the magnitude of the issue. Naming perpetrators, though, is a totally different ball game and not one that should be on social media. Any person is considered innocent until proven guilty and that is the case with everyone who is being named. If you really want to fight for justice, take your case to a court of law. Social media becomes a platform to fight a cause only when all else fails,“ says Neethu.Actress Meghana Gaonkar, however, feels strongly on shaming the perpetrators but warns against it being misused. She says, “I think #NameAndShame has pros and cons.If people have been victims of sexual assault and get a chance to name their assaulter, then it is an outlet and relief for them. Sexual predators have to be named and people should know what the person has done. On the flipside, people can take advantage of this and misuse it. Having said that, I feel that there might be one or two cons, but there are 10 pros to doing this. It is important to shame wrongdoers.“.At the time of going to print, a total of 75 professors were named on the list. In interviews with other publications, Raya has stated that she has received over 300 messages from different women -often accusing the same professor of sexual harassment. Inji backed the statement, saying the list was compiled from first-person accounts of the victims and where the victim preferred to remain anonymous, a friend stood in, and evidence in the form of WhatsApp messages, call recordings, screenshots and emails had been collected and saved.
